Norashidah Mohamed Nor, PhD

Norashidah is part of the project’s ATT-SEA Fellowship where they study the scope and determinants of illicit cigarette trade in Malaysia. She is an Associate Professor and Deputy Dean for Academics and Student Affairs at the School of Business and Economics at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Her expertise is in health economics and microeconomic modelling with various research interests such as tobacco control policy, healthcare financing, health development and health modelling, having authored more than 40 publications. She served as the Vice Chairman of the Malaysia’s Ministry of Health-FCTC Technical Committee. Norashidah gained her PhD in Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2011) and did her Post Doctorate in Health Economics at Queensland University in Australia.
