Review of Illicit Tobacco Trade Policy and Program Implementation in the Philippines
Despite efforts to address tobacco as the leading risk factor driving death and disability across all in the Philippines, government initiatives in countering illicit trade of the product have been said to be uncoordinated and poorly implemented. This study will contribute to improving policies to combat illicit tobacco by reviewing the current policies and program implementation in the country as framed in WHO-FCTC Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products.
